The play in five steps

  1. 01

Step 1: Name your website visitors

Most buyers read your site for weeks before they fill in a form. This step turns that reading into a list.

    • Install a visitor identification pixel (RB2B, Warmly or Albacross) on every page.
    • Capture both levels of match:
      • Company-level: which account is reading
      • Person-level: who is reading, where a match exists
    • Log the context of every visit:
      • Pages viewed, especially pricing and case studies
      • How often they come back
      • Time on site and the last visit date
  2. 02

Step 2: Send every visit into Clay

One table per company and per person keeps repeat visits from turning into duplicate outreach.

    • Push company and person matches from the pixel into Clay by webhook.
    • Keep one record per company and one per person, and append each new visit to it.
    • Keep the timestamps: recency is half the score.
  3. 03

Step 3: Enrich, then check it is still true

Enrichment databases go stale fast. A job change or a dead inbox turns a hot visit into a bounce.

    • Enrich the company in Clay:
      • Industry and headcount
      • Location
      • What they sell
    • Enrich the person:
      • Role and seniority
      • A verified work email (Findymail, Prospeo)
      • A mobile number where one exists (FullEnrich)
    • Run a job-change check on LinkedIn before anything is sent. Someone who left gets swapped for their replacement.
    • Re-verify the email with BounceBan on the day of sending, not the day it was found.
  4. 04

    Step 4: Score the visit

Not every visitor deserves a rep. The score decides who gets a human and who gets a sequence.

    • Run one scoring prompt in Clay with Claude across three things: account fit, role relevance and strength of the visit.
    • Assign a tier:
      • Tier 1: best fit
      • Tier 2: good fit
      • Tier 3: okay fit
      • Disqualified: no outreach
  5. 05

    Step 5: Route by tier

Speed matters most at the top. A Tier 1 visit is worked the same day, by a person.

    • Tier 1, highest priority:
      • Alert the owner in Slack and log it in HubSpot
      • Find the other buyers at the account with Findymail and Apollo
      • Call through Nooks
      • Text the visitor through Twilio only where they gave consent, for example on an earlier form
    • Tier 2:
      • Start a short email sequence in Smartlead that opens on the topic of the page they read
    • Tier 3:
      • Send a LinkedIn connection request through HeyReach, then a DM once they accept
    • Never mention the visit itself in the copy. Lead with the problem the page they read solves.
